Common questions

Is it really free for me?
Yes. KoAdmit is paid by the university that admits you. We do not bill students.
Can you get me a visa?
The decision belongs to the immigration authorities, so we cannot promise an outcome. What we do is explain the requirements precisely, and have the law firm review your documents and file the application.
What if I do not speak Korean?
That is fine. We work in ten languages, and you can talk to us in your own.
What is the difference between D-2 and D-4?
D-2 is the visa for degree programmes (associate, bachelor, master, doctorate). D-4 is for language training and other non-degree courses. Which one you need follows from the programme you apply to, and we work that out with you during the consultation.
Can I work part-time while studying?
Yes, if you obtain a part-time work permit first. The hours and the kinds of work allowed depend on your Korean ability, whether it is term time or vacation, and the industry. Working without the permit puts your stay at risk, so it must be applied for in advance, and we help you do that. The rules change, so we confirm the current ones when we talk.
If KoAdmit is free, does studying in Korea cost nothing?
No. What is free is KoAdmit. You still pay the university's tuition, housing and living costs, and you must show proof of funds for the visa. The amounts differ by university and programme, so we set out the full figure before you apply.
What do I have to do after I arrive in Korea?
You must register as a foreign resident within the set period, and report any later change of address or school. Missing these deadlines puts your stay at risk. We tell you when each deadline falls and file the applications with you.
I have already paid a broker. What can I do?
Please tell us. We cannot promise to get your money back. What we can do is show you where to report it, and take over the rest of the process at no cost to you.
